Maybe you want to contribute to a safer traffic situation by automation. Or join the team behind the industry leading drive ability features for the Group? No matter what fuels your passion or the vehicle you are developing, we are sure you will find a fun and challenging future with us!

This is us, your new colleagues
The Predictive Gear Selection group, are a set of two dynamic teams that provide world class solutions in terms of drive ability and fuel efficiency to all truck and bus brands in the Group. For the teams the challenge lies within making the right balancing of drive ability and creating a set of cutting-edge propulsion functions in a wide set of applications and driving scenarios ranging from construction to long haul. The teams are constantly bringing in new information and are working close with our products to continue to develop the functionality to make sure it is cutting edge for all our customers, regardless of transport mission and propulsion system setup. We take care of the complete development chain from idea and solution to verification by simulation and testing in vehicles.

In our group we believe teamwork and collaboration is the foundation for great products and an attractive workplace. You will be part of a team of 5-8 colleagues with complementary skills committed to a common purpose. Your team plan their work in 3 week sprints and delivers solutions together as a team. In the daily work you will mostly use graphical programming tools such as Simulink so that we can focus on the products we develop.

That is why we organize hack days every 10 weeks where you together with your team members can spend time on your own project for competence development, innovate new things or improve our development environment. We also have social activities to get to know each other.

A normal workday in this high performing team could be like this:
-You take the campus Lundby express to the B-gate. After a short walk int the BC building you take a seat in the team area. You are greeted by Lisa who asks you about your weekend. After you have grabbed a cup of coffee you continue where you left off yesterday. The task is to fix a bug connected to a bad behavior in gear selection during acceleration. You test the change you completed yesterday in one of the rigs. It seems to work fine, and next step is to try it in truck. The rest of the team have arrived in office it is time for the daily sync meeting. Henrik has worked on a new function to improve pedal driving for the battery electric vehicles and is asking if someone can help him out with the verification. You volunteer and go out to the vehicle right after the meeting. After a successful test drive to Borås and back you arrive back at the office right in time for some lunch training together with the health & wellbeing network. After a good workout Kristoffer wants your help with a code review. You find no issues and Kristoffer pushes the change into the Jenkins system. After some fika with the team you and Klara take a short drive to test your improvements. No issues found and you commit your changes and push it for automatic testing. You feel content with the day and stroll back to the bus stop just outside the B-gate while thinking about what music you will listen to on the bus home.
