The consultant will report to the Requirement Manager and work under the direction of the Project Requirements Manager, with responsibility for one of the project’s Construction Areas (Meltshop Plant, Hot Strip Mill, Cold Mill Complex, Balance of Plant and/or General Site Infrastructure). The assignment requires willingness to comute to the north of Sweden 3 weeks per month. Candidates will be presented on an ongoing basis.
The assignment is part of a steel project in Sweden delivered as a PMC setup, where the Requirement Leader reports to the Requirement Manager / Project Requirements Manager and is responsible for one of several Construction Areas in the project (e.g., Meltshop Plant, Hot Strip Mill, Cold Mill Complex, Balance of Plant and General Site Infrastructure).
The Customer needs to ensure stakeholders in the assigned area develop their systems efficiently to meet established requirements, and that plans are in place to confirm those requirements as needed, including control of scope changes and traceability of deliverables. The work requires regular interaction across functional areas and collaboration with contract/change management and risk management, with significant presence in northern Sweden.
In this role you will, under the direction of the Project Requirements Manager, take ownership of one Construction Area and be accountable for deploying and managing the requirements processes used in that area from early requirements gathering through final acceptance. You will ensure implementation requirements are aligned with contractual requirements and that appropriate controls are in place so that new scope items are reviewed and specified correctly.
The assignment includes close coordination with Contract and Change Management teams regarding post implementation Change Requests, driving the project requirements strategy within your area, establishing a strong culture of requirements management in the Construction Area project team, and continuously prioritizing requirements and proposing timelines for capability delivery.
You will engage functional and technical teams for design, development and testing around customer requirements and ensure that designs for enhancements or change requests fit with existing functionalities/system designs. You will also oversee updates to requirements deliverables such as requirements documentation, change control and traceability matrices.
Skallkrav:
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or Project/Program Management
- Previous work experience as a Requirement Leader or similar role. Required experience over 5 years.
- Regularly interacts with project members on matters concerning multiple functional areas, divisions, and/or customers
- Candidate will track, categorize and prioritize Issues and Risk items with engineering and stakeholders of his Construction Area, and will collaborate regularly with Risk Management team participating regularly in Risk Review Meetings with all relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts to help assessing risks and mitigation actions.
- Team spirit and good analytical skills.
- Experience in medium-large scale EPC/EPCM/PMC projects.
- Willing to conmute to the north of Sweden 3 weeks per month.
- Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluent in English.
