The client is a global technology and industrial manufacturing company with a strong focus on robotics and automation solutions. Their operations combine advanced engineering, digitalization, and large‑scale manufacturing, and they are currently undergoing a significant transformation of their production facilities. As part of a long‑term vision, the company is developing a future‑ready robotics campus aimed at increasing efficiency, flexibility, and industrial innovation. The assignment is based in Västerås.
The assignment is as a Project Manager within production development, supporting a major factory and campus transformation program. You will be part of the factory’s project office and lead sub‑projects related to investments in the existing factory, efficiency improvement initiatives, relocation of production processes to new facilities, and the industrialization of new manufacturing processes and automation steps.
Your responsibilities include managing sub‑projects within the campus development program as well as other factory‑related projects, such as introduction of new products. Production development and relocation are integral parts of the overall program. You will lead cross‑functional project teams consisting primarily of internal resources from various technical disciplines, complemented by selected consultants.
In the role, you will plan, lead, and distribute work within your projects, manage dialogue and alignment with other sub‑projects, line organization, and suppliers, and ensure progress towards time and budget targets. You will be based in Västerås but will also interact with global stakeholders within the robotics organization.
Requirements:
We are looking for a project manager with at least 3–5 years of experience leading projects involving multiple technical areas and interacting sub‑projects. Experience from production development within manufacturing industry is required, and experience with paced flows and streamlining is considered a strong merit.
You hold a Master of Science in Engineering and have demonstrated leadership experience. You are a confident and clear leader who builds strong relationships and works with a strong focus on goals, results, and delivery. You have the ability to take a holistic perspective and identify sustainable solutions, work collaboratively across functions, and approach change in a positive and constructive way.
You are comfortable driving projects towards defined milestones, keeping schedule and budget in focus, and you view challenges and deviations as opportunities for continuous improvement.
